    Additional services, including in house AV technicians and security, are available for events that require extended or specialized support.

  • Nippon Kan Theatre can accommodate up to 300 seated guests for weddings and receptions, with larger standing receptions possible depending on layout. Theatre style seating can accommodate up to 400 guests, and the total maximum occupancy is 460 guests.

    The mezzanine overlooks the main floor, creating natural sightlines ideal for ceremonies, performances, and presentations.

  • Yes. You are welcome to bring your own licensed and insured vendors, including caterers, planners, florists, photographers, videographers, and decorators. We also maintain trusted relationships with local Seattle vendors and are happy to share our preferred vendor list if helpful.

  • Yes. A dedicated venue representative will be on site throughout your rental to support the flow of your event and ensure venue policies are followed. This person serves as your point of contact for venue related needs on the day of your event.

  • Yes. Alcohol service is permitted with a licensed bartender and required banquet permit. Proof of insurance is required, and our team can help guide you through the permitting and planning process to ensure everything is handled properly.

  • Your rental includes 28 private on site parking spaces. Additional paid parking lots and street parking are available nearby.

  • Due to the historic nature of the building, Nippon Kan Theatre is not fully ADA accessible. There are multiple stairways leading to the theatre, lobby areas, and restrooms, and elevator access is not available.

  • A 30 percent non refundable deposit secures your date. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to your event. Payment plans may be available upon request, and our team is happy to work with you to keep the process clear and transparent.

  • We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for weekends, peak wedding season, and end of year events. Our calendar fills quickly, and early booking offers the best flexibility for dates, planning timelines, and vendor coordination.
